About Joe
Joe Thoensen has practiced law in South Carolina since his admission to the Bar in 2004. He graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law that same year. He has spent his entire career practicing as a civil litigator in Columbia, South Carolina. Most of Joe’s experience has been as a civil defense attorney, and he also has experience representing injured individuals. He now devotes the majority of his practice to civil defense.
Joe has represented both individual and corporate clients in almost every county in South Carolina. He has represented both individual and corporate clients in a variety of tort cases in both South Carolina state courts as well as the United States District Court. He has tried cases to verdict in South Carolina state courts.
Joe focuses the majority of his practice in insurance defense, corporate defense, premises liability, coverage disputes, contract disputes, and products liability.
